Day 3

Day 3 was filled with fun in Nauvoo. This is a fun town to walk the streets in. Even if it is pouring rain. We stopped for lunch at a place on Main Street called McKee's. They serve sandwiches and over 1000 kinds of ice cream. They make it in metal bowls right before your eyes. Using this extra large nitrogen tank. After eating the ice cream I think everyone needs a nitrogen tank in their home. She was super excited I was taking her picture too.

The Nauvoo temple was amazing. The lime green dresses for the wedding that was taking place...a little much!

Who knew Illinois was the land of Lincoln? Yet another state to add to the list!!

My first look at the Mississippi River.

While we were stopped looking at the river some old people got us into the museum that was followed by an hour long tour. Inside the first building was a ball and chain. Mighty heavy if I might say so myself. I don't think I would make a good criminal!
